Harmon Greenblatt, Director of the Graduate Program in Arts Administration,
has been teaching and working in the field of Arts Management his
entire professional career. His full-time teaching positions include
Columbia College, Chicago and the University of Hartford, Connecticut.
Prior to his current position he also directed Arts Councils in Evanston
and Decatur, Illinois and has been a producer, presenter and manager
in Illinois, New Jersey and California. |

After thirty years practicing law, Bill Abbott's claim to fame
remains that he worked on Saturday Night Live during its first season.
Since then, he has won significant cases involving the law of ideas,
libel and the rights of buyers of art at auction. He has represented
visual artists, film makers, writers, advertising agencies, owners
of music rights, local governments (cable television), the Louisiana
Lottery and even a radio exorcist. He has taught Entertainment Law
at Tulane Law School and Communications Law at Loyola and Xavier
Universities. |

Marcia has worked in the area of development for almost thirty
years. This career began while she was still an Associate Professor
at LSU Health Sciences Center, New Orleans. Since then, she has assisted
numerous community organizations and agencies in planning successful
grant proposals for submission to public and private agencies and
foundations. She currently works as a freelance consultant, focusing
on grant writing and collaborative fund development activities. |
DON K. MARSHALL

Don Marshall has been an active member of the Arts community in
New Orleans since 1972. He has been honored by the Arts Council of
New Orleans and the Louisiana Art Education Association, among others.
He has extensive knowledge in festival planning and production and
has co-founded several New Orleans arts organizations including the New Orleans
Film
and
Video
Festival and
has served as
director
of the Contemporary Arts Center, St. Tammany Art Association, the
Graduate Program in Arts Administration, and many others. He currently
serves as Executive director of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage
Festival and Foundation, Inc.

RICHARD READ

Richard Read holds a B.A. from Milsaps College, an M.A. from Tulane
University and an M.A. in Arts Administration from UNO. He has served
as Managing Director of the Shakespeare Festival at Tulane,
Managing Director for the local arts festival, Dramarama,
and Program Manager for the International Theater Institute of
the United States. Professional
Affiliations include the Association of Performing Arts Presenters,
the Louisiana Partnership for the Arts and the Louisiana Presenters
Network. He has extensive experience in marketing, PR, grant writing,
program administration, arts technology, web and graphic design and
event production. He currently serves as Director of Marketing for
The NOCCA institute. |
